TuesDay June 16, 6-9 PM
How do we reach the unreachable? How do we call up connection in our writing when the truth of the matter resists us? In this 3-hour workshop, Sadie will guide a small group of writers and creative thinkers through a tarot card reading designed to sound our depths and seduce our shadows.
Using the cards as our prompts, Brittany will guide us through a series of generative exercises designed to prop open new doors, connect disparate parts of our experiences, and write through new ideas and past events that we just couldn't get to before.
You'll have the option to share your work, give and receive feedback, and create community with other writers who want to peek around the corners of the soul. You'll leave with a piece of writing that you can bring to future workshops or polish for publication.

Literally any kind! From poetry and micro-fiction to memoir and novel excerpts, we encourage you to use your creativity however it emerges in the moment.
You can use this workshop as an opportunity to add inspiration and analysis to ongoing projects, or create something wholly new in the moment.

You may not record the workshop, either through video or audio means. You are welcome to take notes during the session and photograph tarot spreads.
This workshop is a generative space that we will create together. As such, it's a challenge-by-choice environment: you're always invited to take part, and you never have to do anything that makes you uncomfortable. We will practice actively listening to and respecting the thoughts, feelings, and words of the others in the group. We'll hold up everyone's attempts as sacred practice. Before all else, we will show up with honesty and kindness.
You're free to express yourself, but your freedom ends where it impinges on the rights of others. Hate speech, racism, sexism, size/fat-phobia, xenophobia, transphobia, and their various iterations will not be tolerated.
Cancellation policy: Payment must be rendered in full to hold a participant’s spot in the workshop. Full refunds will be provided for cancellations made 48 hours in advance of the workshop start time (6pm, June 16). After that time, partial refunds or no refunds will be issued, at our discretion. All cancellations must be made via email to pghastrology@gmail.com
