I’m Sadie Hamm, a writer, content creator, performer and witch based out of Pittsburgh.

With my background in creative writing, comedic podcasting, and existential dread that doesn’t allow me to take anything too seriously lest I spiral into the gaping void, I like to approach astrology and tarot with a light touch. It’s about co-creating meaning together, having a laugh, and affirming our place in community.

I started pghastrology in 2021 as a meme page, combining my love of Pittsburgh with some gentle satire of instagram astrology culture. I really enjoyed the juxtaposition of Pittsburgh’s gritty stee-town reputation with the airy-fairiness of astrology, and hopefully my work brings out that contrast, and that overlap. Pittsburgh is a deeply mystical town, and its history, community, and quirks inspire me every day. I’ve also branched out to talk more generally about tarot, witchcraft, and metaphysical beliefs.
